COVID policy update December 2021

Channel Men’s Shed Committee recently met to discuss the results of our recent Covid survey and to set a policy in place to apply when we reopen after the New Year.

Channel Men’s Shed will officially close on Wednesday 22nd and re-open on Tuesday 4th January 2022. The COVID-19 PLAN – SAFETY and WELLBEING policy will apply from that date. This document has been emailed to members and is also available from the the CMS CMS documents page.

As Members will be required to provide their proof of vaccination status in the form of a Covid Vaccination Certificate, Shed Members should make every effort to utilise the facilities available to obtain their certificate. The most current choice available is to integrate the certificate with the Tas Check-In app.

For those who may choose not to have a smart phone or unable to obtain their Vaccination Certificate online, a hard copy can be obtained by calling:

With the borders re-opening on December 15th there will be an influx of Mainland tourists. The risk to Members and their families will increase substantially. We encourage Members to not take on any additional risk, social distance and don’t be afraid to wear a mask, particularly in indoor venues or where there are large numbers present.
