News from the Shed November 2022

Two items by way of reminders below and, a separate email invitation to the Shed’s 2022 Christmas Get Together.

That’s right, a separate invitation … look for it and let us have your response.

WHAT IS WICEN (and would it fit into our new amateur radio group)?

W.I.C.E.N ( wireless institute civil emergency network) enthusiasts, please let it be known that if you wish to attend a hands on gathering with Guest speaker Cedric Lockley, he will be at the Shed this Friday 11th November from 10.00am to answer all your questions and pass on his knowledge in and around Amateur radio broadcasting.

W.I.C.E.N people are mostly licensed radio amateurs, who regularly train throughout the year to hone their craft, so they can provide a professional and efficient service in times of need.  These guys when, activated by the Fire Brigade or SES etc, can be on the job, setting up all their equipment, with very little notice.

We will of course run the session onto the Shed BBQ at 11.30.

Come along and pick up some invaluable information from a master.

SCAM RECOGNITION AND IT SUPPORT

Ross Thomas’ generous offering is coming up and a few places are still available.

Drop us a note to let us know of your interest in any of these offerings.
